Senior Business Intelligence Architect - Central London - Competitive salary, bonus & benefits

My client, a global healthcare company, based in Central London, is looking to recruit a Senior Business Intelligence Architect. Positioned within the Analytics team, the BI Architect will focus on developing reporting frameworks, establishing connections with data sources across Business Units and automating processes within the business, Analytics and Finance functions. The BI Architect will have a keen eye for Process Excellence, and will strive to automate the manual data and financial processes within the business. They will focus on maintaining rigorous data quality and will work closely with the commercial teams to flex solutions to suit their needs.

Key responsibilities:

  • Maintain Global Database pre and post-migration to SAP HANA including running monthly loads of BU data, data quality testing and liaising with BUs to ensure timeliness of data submissions as well as troubleshooting data errors
  • Collaborate with Analytics and commercial teams to structure and to evolve key BAU reporting and analytics capabilities from the data using data modelling, data management and ETL expertise
  • As an Analytics team, harness Tableau development expertise in order to maximise the value created from BI within the company. Simplify regular reporting and help commercial teams get to key insights with speed and confidence in the data
  • Bolster capabilities of the Analytics team by integrating new data sources into the company reporting framework; taking disparate sets of data and creating automated mechanisms for data blending and reporting
  • Collaborate with internal teams to better collect and blend the various sets of data they rely on and improve their analytics capabilities and ability to report on KPIs in a standardised and efficient manner
  • Ensure Process Excellence by creating an inventory of key processes in Analytics, Finance and Commercial teams and collaboratively develop a plan to automate and refine critical business data related processes, as well as, data management practices

Key skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar technical subject
  • Prince2 / PMP project management qualification a plus
  • Previous experience of Database Management experience, with particular focus on SAP HANA, IBM DashDB, MS Access and SQL Server
  • Expert in Process Excellence and automation, with qualifications in Lean Six Sigma a plus
  • Strong developer skills with SQL and VBA
  • Expertise with report and dashboard development in Tableau or similar BI tool (Business Objects, Qlik etc.)
  • Strong MS Excel skills; advanced formulae, pivots and macros
  • Project management experience and expertise with IT Project Management in an Agile environment
  • Commercial focus and key understanding of how the business utilises and relies on data
  • Senior stakeholder management experience with ability to present to a senior audience
  • Demonstrated prior experience working across international borders and Business Units within a large multinational corporation
