Financial Controller - Central London - £80,000 plus bonus & benefits
My client a leading fast growing FMCG company based in Central London, is currently recruiting for a Financial Controller. Working directly for the Finance Director, we are looking for a first-class Financial Controller, who is ambitious, skilled, eager and financially astute. The ideal candidate will ensure financial control and transactional efficiency by being pro-active and organised with a high level of energy and drive to ensure rigour is installed in our processes. This role will be a hands-on requiring an experienced accountant who is able to adapt.
Key responsibilities:
- Work with all managers to ensure budgets are maintained and controlled
- Drive efficiencies and controls through system enhancements and processes
- Manage Finance Business Partner and outsourced transactional services team
- Management of cash and working capital across the business
- Working closely with the Operations team to ensure appropriate stock reporting and controls are in place
- Responsible for the Annual Budgets, ensuring variances to budget are reviewed and actioned as required, interfacing with all departments
- Ensuring tax compliance in UK and Ireland
- Responsible for statutory accounts and audit completion
- Financial consolidation of individual companies within the group
- Ensuring financial control through balance sheet reconciliations (including stock and GRNI)
- VAT preparation for UK and Ireland
- Assist with the implementation, improvement & training of new systems and software where required
Key skills:
- ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent
- Self-starter, high energy, gutsy, team player
- Have a practical and solutions-based approach
- Be pro-active, organised and responsive
- Excellent communicator, thrives in a fast-paced environment
- Ideally experience in FMCG and/or in a similar sized business
- Strong Excel and SAP Business One would be preferable
