Strategic Initiatives Analyst - Hybrid working - Central London - Competitive salary, bonus & benefits

My client a global healthcare company is looking to recruit a Strategic Initiatives Analyst for their Divisional head office. Reporting to the VP Strategic Initiatives and Business Intelligence, the Strategic Initiatives Analyst will focus on supporting the private label generics business and the growth agenda. This role will be responsible for partnering with the business and analytics team(s) to drive the change management program around data, analytics and business process optimisation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Facilitates business problem solving through structured hypotheses, detailed analyses, and synthesised insights leading to recommendations to senior management
  • Manages strategic projects end-to-end; maintains responsibility for deliverables and timelines, shifting priorities as needed; manages stakeholder relationships and expectations
  • Partners with the subsidary business to identify and implement improved business processes by scoping the current and future state, diagnosing root causes and proposing simplification and automation solutions
  • Partner with Analytics team(s) to drive the data and analytics agenda by ensuring analytics tools are aligned to business process and user requirements and are implemented with effective change management
  • Supports the leadership team to help them achieve long term goals and project objectives
  • Drives discrete components of work and analysis to successful completion, working with commercial teams, finance and analytics to identify and deliver value
  • Creates high-quality presentations/deliverables for various internal and external audiences
  • Builds trust and productive relationships with team members and stakeholders across the organization, as well as influences and gains acceptance of others to one's ideas through effective communication, relevant and insightful analyses, and creative thinking
  • Conducts external research/data gathering and analysis

Key skills:

  • Previous work experience ideally within consulting, business transformation or strategy preferably within the healthcare or consumer industries or with relevant industry experience
  • Analytical Rigor: ability to bring structure to ill-defined problems and intellectual leadership to problem solving; synthesize insights from analysis and ensure credible, actionable recommendations
  • Process optimisation: experience in mapping and optimizing existing processes using Lean, Six Sigma and other methodologies
  • Analytics: fluency with data and analytics with ability to breakdown required insights into data inputs and outputs and basic knowledge of analytics tools
  • Project Management: Ability to establish project management frameworks and keep strategy projects on track including stakeholder management
  • Communications Skills: ability to develop rapport and credibility across the organization, promote ideas and proposals persuasively
  • Strategic Thinking: evaluating industry trends, identifying long-term implications and recommending pragmatic strategies for new business opportunities
  • Healthcare Knowledge: knowledge of players, trends, economic drivers, tools and policy across healthcare
