Financial Reporting Manager - Flexible working - Up to £75,000 plus bonus and share incentive scheme

My client, a listed technology company with offices in Central London, is looking to recruit a Financial Reporting Manager. This is an exceptional opportunity to join an award winning listed business. Reporting to the CFO, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high quality and comprehensive group statutory and financial reporting.

Key responsibilities:

  • Group Statutory Reporting - support the interim and full year close and audit process, involving:
  • Preparation of group financial statements and statutory disclosures accounts under IFRS, with conversion from multiple GAAPs.
  • Confirmation and implementation of technical accounting treatment across areas such as revenue recognition, intangible asset capitalisation, amortisation, and impairment, stock-based compensation, acquisition accounting etc.
  • Production of supporting information for the audit, including technical accounting memos and statement tie-outs.
  • Management of the provision of information to auditors and liaison on audit queries,
  • Support for the production of the subsidiaries' statutory accounts.
  • Improve the audit planning and preparation process and ensure audit guidance is implemented in monthly and half year reporting in the future.
  • Management of month end from planning and preparation to execution and final review.
  • Production of the Group P&L and Balance Sheet Consolidation, inclusive of multi-currency subsidiaries and sub subsidiaries, (primarily across NA and EMEA).
  • Production of the Group Cash Flow.

Key skills:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent),
  • Proven experience in the preparation of IFRS financial statements and GAAP reconciliation.
  • Excellent technical knowledge and ability to research and communicate complex accounting matters and conclude on treatment based on accounting standards.
  • Comfortable communicating with senior management and external advisors.
  • Experience operating in a multi-currency environment and working with multiple jurisdictions (ideally including the US).
  • Expert-level Excel skills - ability to create and maintain advanced, efficient Excel spreadsheets.
  • Knowledge and experience working with accounting systems, preferably SAP.
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and capable of meeting deadlines whilst maintaining a strong attention to detail.
