Accounts Receivable Assistant - Central London/hybrid/remote working - Ongoing temporary assignment - Up to £18 p/h

My client, a market leading A.I. company with operations in Central London, is looking to recruit an Accounts Receivable Assistant for an ongoing temporary assignment for their growing European head office. The successful candidate will join a fast-growing team that is focused on shaping the future with artificial intelligence and robotics.

Key responsibilities:

  • Complete new customer checks in accordance with Company's customer onboarding procedures
  • Perform credit checks on new and existing customers and upload to ERP system
  • File and organise financial documents for audit trail
  • Maintain customer records in ERP system
  • Raise down payment and sales invoices in multiple currencies in ERP system and send these to customers
  • Raise credit notes in ERP system and process refunds
  • Collect proof of payment documents from customers where required
  • Allocate cash received from customer across multiple bank accounts, including EUR and USD, to correct AR
  • Respond to internal and external queries and resolve efficiently
  • Monitor customer balances and prepare and send payment reminders for overdue AR
  • Escalate overdue AR in accordance with Company's internal control procedures
  • Prepare cash flow forecasts for AR and monitor actuals against forecast
  • Assist with month-end financial administration
  • Liaise between Finance Director and Financial Accountant/Manager for other ad hoc finance admin duties relating to reporting, accounting and VAT

Key Skills:

  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications, with strong Excel skills
  • Good understanding of sales process (Sales order to invoicing flow)
  • Punctual, polite and work autonomously
  • Experience working with ERP systems (Odoo preferred but similar is ok)
  • Experience working in multi-currency business
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Organised with attention to detail and ability to adapt
  • Ability to improve business process
