Power BI Analyst - Central London/hybrid working - Up to £50,000 plus bonus & benefits

My client, a global Professional Services company based in central London with offices in over 50 locations overseas, is looking to recruit a Power BI Analyst for their global head office. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated data professional to assist the Data Lead in the design, development, and maintenance of a new data infrastructure within a leading global company.

Key responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand their data and reporting needs.
  • Design and develop visually compelling and interactive Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Build data models and ensure data accuracy and integrity within Power BI.
  • Optimise report performance and data refresh schedules to meet business requirements.
  • Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that will guide decision-making processes.
  • Identify and troubleshoot data inconsistencies or issues within Power BI reports.
  • Stay up to date with the latest Power BI features and enhancements and recommend best practices for report development.
  • Provide training and support to end-users on navigating and interpreting Power BI reports.
  • Collaborate with the data engineering team and other departments to ensure seamless data integration and data quality.

Key skills:

  • Proven experience as a Power BI Analyst, with a strong portfolio of Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and DAX language.
  • Excellent data visualization skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to present data in a visually appealing and easy-to-understand manner.
  • Strong SQL skills for data querying and manipulation.
  • Proficiency in Python, and/or other programming languages commonly used in data modelling.
  • Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
