Accounts Assistant - London/hybrid - Up to £30,000 plus bonus & benefits

My client, a market leading professional services organisation with global operations are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant for their London head office. The successful candidate will support the accounts team in handling the administration of all new and existing clients in a variety of aspects, such as onboarding, invoicing, and query management. Reporting directly to the Credit Control Manager, the successful candidate will be working closely with the credit control team and accounts receivable as well as supporting the wider business.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assisting the sales ledger and credit control teams with administrative duties
  • Preparation of all client portal set up, management, and maintenance - adding sales invoices to the portal
  • Assisting in the preparation of new account set-ups with portal creations
  • Reviewing New Business forms when required
  • Purchase Order mailbox management liaising with appropriate teams across the business
  • Managing and co-ordinating purchase orders. Helping obtain purchase orders from clients
  • Communicating with clients to submit revised invoices for payment processing
  • Quality control - reviewing purchase orders and ensuring they match the assignment set up prior to Invoicing

  • Articulate and able to express information clearly and confidently with all levels of personnel
  • Be cooperative, flexible and a team player who can collaborate with others
  • Have a positive and upbeat manner, always ready for a challenge willing to go the extra mile to produce high quality work
  • Strong communication skills to effectively describe problems clearly
  • Can be proactive, anticipating problems and provide solutions
  • Able to take initiative but also not be afraid to ask for help when required
  • Excellent IT skills -. MS Office suite - Outlook and Excel specifically
