Interim Financial Controller - 3 month contract - Up to £450 a day - London/hybrid
My client, a growing marketing company based in London, is looking to recruit a Financial Controller for an initial 3 month interim assignment (potential to be extended) offering hybrid working. This strategic role will oversee all financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, robust controls, and strategic financial guidance to support our rapid growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly reports for senior management and manage the annual audit process, including preparation of the Financial Statements in accordance with UK GAAP
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger operations
- Manage month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Monitor cash flow and working capital management
- Support the annual budgeting and reforecast processes
- Develop financial models to support business planning and decision-making
- Partner with department heads to ensure budgets aligned with strategic objectives
- Understand and track key performance indicators specific to the business VAT & UK Tax Compliance
- Manage all tax compliance and filings, including VAT and Corporation Tax
Key skills:
- ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent
- Experience in digital marketing, advertising or related service industry (preferred) but not essential
- Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
- Familiarity with marketing technology platforms and their financial implications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
