Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk - Up to £45,000 plus benefits - North London (on-site)
My client, one of the largest privately owned construction companies in London, is currently looking to hire a new Senior Purchase Ledger Clerk. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing high volumes of invoices, and supporting the wider finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a busy environment and enjoys being part of a friendly, hardworking team.
Key responsibilities:
- Processing supplier invoices, credit notes, and payment runs
- Reconciling supplier statements and resolving discrepancies
- Managing queries from suppliers and internal teams
- Maintaining accurate and up‑to‑date ledger records
- Assisting with month‑end tasks and reporting
- Ensuring compliance with company procedures and industry standards
- Cash Book Postings
Key skills:
- Proven experience in a purchase ledger or accounts payable role
- Knowledge of the construction industry is essential
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills
- Confident communicator with the ability to build good supplier relationships
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment
