Quantity Surveyor - Civil Engineering - Kent - Up o £65,000 + Benefits Package & bonus
Looking for a QS role with real scale, variety, and long-term opportunity?
We're recruiting on behalf of a large, established civil engineering contractor delivering major infrastructure and groundworks projects across the UK. Due to continued growth, we're looking for a commercially sharp Quantity Surveyor.
You'll play a key role in keeping projects commercially on track, working closely with site teams, project managers, subcontractors, and clients across a range of civil engineering schemes.
The role:
Managing costs across civil engineering projects from procurement to final account Preparing valuations, applications, variations, cost reports, and forecasts Supporting tendering, subcontract procurement, and contract administration Working closely with site teams to track progress, risk, and commercial performance Negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers Helping ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably
What we're looking for:
Experience as a Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering, infrastructure, groundworks, highways, utilities, drainage, or related sectors Strong commercial awareness and solid contract knowledge Confident communicator with good negotiation skills Able to manage multiple projects or packages Relevant QS, commercial, or construction qualification preferred
