Description

Senior Fund Accountant - £70,000 - £85,000 + Bonus + Benefits - London - West End | Hybrid Working

A growing investment business specialising in credit strategies is looking to appoint a Senior Fund Accountant as it continues to expand its investment platform and assets under management.

This is a strong opportunity for an experienced fund accountant looking to join a high-quality, entrepreneurial environment with excellent exposure to senior finance and investment professionals.

The role will take responsibility for the accounting and financial control of a portfolio of credit-focused funds and investment vehicles, working closely with internal teams, administrators, auditors and other third-party providers.

Key responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of the accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of credit funds and investment vehicles.
  • Review NAV calculations, management accounts and investor reporting produced by external fund administrators.
  • Manage month-end, quarter-end and year-end reporting processes.
  • Review fund expenses, accruals, management fees, performance fees and carried interest where applicable.
  • Oversee cash, investment and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Review capital calls, distributions and investor allocations.
  • Support the preparation and review of statutory financial statements and annual audits.
  • Work closely with investment, operations and investor relations teams on fund activity and reporting.
  • Liaise with administrators, auditors, tax advisers, banks and other external service providers.
  • Assist with new fund launches, structures and investment vehicles.
  • Help improve finance processes, controls and reporting as the business continues to grow.

Candidate profile:

The successful candidate will ideally be a qualified accountant - ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent - although strong candidates with relevant experience will also be considered.

Candidates must have previous experience within credit or debt investment products. This could have been gained within either:

  • a buy-side investment manager / asset manager, or
  • a sell-side investment bank or financial institution.

Experience across areas such as private credit, direct lending, leveraged finance, structured credit, corporate debt, CLOs, fixed income or alternative credit strategies would be particularly relevant.

You should have strong technical accounting skills, a good understanding of investment products and fund structures, and the ability to work in a growing environment where processes continue to evolve.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing credit investment business at a stage where the successful candidate can gain significant exposure and develop alongside the firm.

Broadstone Resourcing Ltd acts as an Employment Agency and an Employment Business and all appointments will be made on merit alone.
